New Quantum Computing Minor

In order to prepare RPI students to pioneer a new computing paradigm, RPI has established a minor in quantum computing. All enrolled students already have access to our IBM Quantum System One, the only system of its kind housed on a university campus, and students in each of our five schools are eligible to enroll in the minor, which draws from physics, computer science, mathematics, and engineering to provide both theoretical foundations and practical exposure to quantum hardware and software.

"With direct access to the IBM Quantum System One, our students will gain hands-on experience with cutting-edge tools that are not yet widely available. This minor equips them with the interdisciplinary foundation needed to understand and contribute to quantum-enabled innovation,” says Steven Tait, Ph.D., Dean of the School of Science.

More details about the quantum computing minor are available here.
